Recovered from my hangover and am watching Le Divorce. Guess who's in it (with some insanely big hair [which Sara might like] but the same heartthrob accent)?! I hope and believe this means we are fated to be together. Exciting!

Mid-Year Resolutions

...are as much inspired by a re-watching of L'Auberge Espagnole and Les Poupees Russes as my mini-break to the beach. What wouldn't I do for Romain Duris?

Taking Stock

This weekend brought not only tarot card certified assessments of my life, but also some more quantitative measures.

According to an unscientific wrangling of Bank of America's new My Portfolio feature, my total net worth is somewhere between $10,000 and $15,000. Not NPV (well, not calculated as such). Rather than feeling totally glum about this paltry figure, though, I began to look realistically - via Craigslist - at what it would actually take for me to put a down payment on a house in Manhattan.

That is when I realized, just as realistically, that my current creative output (eg, shopping) might be excessive. Irrationally exuberant, even.

Why not instead start to temper and balance myself homeopathically? As I said before...I love this stuff!
